Covid-19 and Teen Camp
The club is pleased to offer a day camp for the 2021 season. The Covid-19 pandemic imposes several constraints, particularly on the use of boats and access to the building. We had to modify the day camp formula accordingly.
Subscriptions are offered for the entire season from June 28 to August 21 for half-days,
either from 9 a.m. to noon (Sorry, we are full) or from 1 pm to 4 pm.
There can only be 15 teens in the morning and 10 other teens in the afternoon. This limitation on the number of registrations is due by the obligation to row alone (brothers and sisters can row together) and by the limited number of boats available.
Access to the interior of the club is not permitted in order to comply with the hygiene measures required by Public Health, the city of Montreal and the Association québécoise d’aviron. Consequently, it will not be possible:
- to leave personal effects inside the club,
- to have a meal inside the club.
However, a room will be made available at the Maison du Brasseur in the event of bad weather.
If the guidelines on rowing during the pandemic change, we will inform you and adapt our formula.
This day camp is for kids and teens aged between 8 and 15 years old. It will introduce them to rowing all summer long as they will improve their technique with the supervision of trained coaches and counselors.
Development : By participating in our teen camp (10-15 years old, all summer), young rowers forge strong links with other youngsters their age, building unforgettable moments. From the age of 16, they can transition if they wish, to our competitive team (see Competitive Program) or recreational program for students under 21 years old.
