The Lachine Rowing Club regrets to confirm the cancellation of the 2020 edition of the Défi du Canal. Due to the Covid-19 epidemic and to respect social distancing measures, it is impossible to hold the event.
The club would like to thank all past volunteers, event partners, referees and athletes for their participation and support. Rest assured that we will be ready for the 2021 edition.
As for the other club activities, we will inform you as soon as we have instructions from the borough and public health authorities. Our goal remains to offer young people and members as many activities as possible while respecting the required hygiene measures.
The Lachine Rowing club is ready for the 2020 season, but the sanitary context does not allow the club to open on the usual date (early May). Our organization will respect the directives of the City of Montreal for the resumption of sports activities in a safe context for the health of the members. Our goal is always to provide stimulating day camps and a calendar of inspiring activities for our members. In the meantime, Lachine Rowing recommends that everyone follow the social distancing guidelines.
